Hijrah Exhibition - Ithra

We are thrilled to share our installation at the exhibition, the largest of 140 carefully curated pieces, "Umm Ma'bad's tent. This remarkable installation brought the past to life at the prestigious King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture - Ithra - Dhahran.

Our dedicated team, led by Emma Joyston-Bechal and Samir Ait Ahmad, meticulously designed, produced, and installed this traditional camel hair tent, using ancient weaving techniques handed down by Saharawi women. The exterior fabric, woven from camel and goat hair, showcases the exceptional qualities of this natural wool, offering protection from the elements and ensuring durability in the harshest conditions.
