Emma - Founder/Sourcing & Design/Project & Creative Director.

Emma’s soul is deeply intertwined with Africa, a love that began in her childhood and has only grown stronger over the years. Before immersing herself in the world of Moroccan treasures, Emma worked as a project director for WPP, working with international clients across the globe.

For over a decade, Emma has been curating and sharing the beauty of Moroccan carpets and treasures from the bustling Marrakech Medina. Long before vintage Beni Ourain rugs graced the shelves of Pottery Barn, Emma was offering them online, recognising their timeless charm.

Her expertise in artifacts is grounded in a life shaped by Africa, England, and France, as well as her personal journey of founding and furnishing two Moroccan businesses—Zamzam Riad in Marrakech and her desert oasis, Sahara Camp Adounia—with rare African treasures.

Having lived in Morocco for over 12 years, Emma has developed an intimate knowledge of the country's hidden gems, cultivating close relationships with her trusted vendors in the Medina. With an impeccable eye for design and a passion for unique African crafts, Emma continues to seek out the extraordinary, blending culture, artistry, and history into every treasure she curates.

Samir - Sourcing/Logistics/ Production/Installation.

Samir is the heart of our tent sourcing and the curator of special items, bringing his vast expertise to every project. With seven years of experience as the camp manager for the renowned Sahara Desert Camp, Camp Adounia, he is a seasoned master in pitching and managing Moroccan tents.

Born into a family from M’hamid, the "last desert town of the Sahara," Samir's roots run deep in both Amazigh (Berber) and Sahrawi (Saharan) heritage. Fluent in Arabic, English, Berber, Tamashek, and Hassani, his linguistic versatility reflects his rich cultural background.

A gifted musician and a true virtuoso of the Gambri, a unique 5-string African guitar, Samir’s artistry transcends music and extends to his profound knowledge of the Sahara. Having traveled widely across the UK and Europe, he possesses a rare ability to bridge the gap between cultures, blending the mystique of the desert with the vibrancy of the world beyond.
